PURPOSE

Standing in the gap ministries is a nondenominational online prayer ministry. We minister through email lists, and chatrooms online. Click on CHAT to find out more about our chatroom ministry or to visit our chatrooms. All of our staff are volunteers who feel called by God to serve here in the ministry of intercession. We welcome prayer requests which may be sent to our email list or we will pray with you in our chatrooms. Prayer requests may also be posted by visitors on this site and viewed by anyone who comes here. Due to the nature and confidentiality of some requests, we do not post any requests on this site which are emailed to our prayer chain or brought to our chatrooms. Those requests are emailed to our staff only. The requests you see posted here were posted by visitors to this site who wish for others who visit here to pray for them.

Our purpose is to serve others by ministering to their needs in any way we can and praying for and with them and by providing means for fellowship and spiritual growth through interaction with other believers. . We desire to glorify God through our every word, thought, and action. It is our desire that the gospel be preached to all people and that His love would be reflected in all we say and do.

1. We believe in one God seen in the trinity in 3 persons-- Father, Son. and Holy Spirit.
2. We believe in scripture as the inerrant Word of God and hold to it as our guide for living.
3. We believe in a personal relationship with God through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ in our place, such a relationship being possible through an individuals acceptance of the gift of salvation by faith through the grace of God.
4. We believe that this gift of salvation is available to all who choose to receive it and is not achieved by any merit on the part of the individual.
5. We believe in the present work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer and in the gifts of the Holy Spirit as still available and functioning in the church today.
6. We believe in the responsibility of all believers to share the Gospel with all people that they might hear and believe.
7. We believe in unity in the body of believers and in service to one another as Christ modeled in His ministry.
