[21:39] <@salti> Back before tanks, machine guns, and other weapons of war were present, people fought battles with a sword.
[21:39] <@salti> They did not have the protection and shelter found today.
[21:39] <@salti> They relied solely on the armor that covered their bodies.
[21:40] <@salti> We face battles daily often between our flesh and our spirit and must fight with the spiritual armor the Lord has given us.
[21:40] <@salti> Lets take a look at each piece of that armor and see how it is beneficial for us.
[21:40] <@salti> Ephesians 6:11-18 is the passage we will look at
[21:40] * @Bride %Nasb% Ephessians 6:11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
[21:40] <@salti> Why must we have the Armor of God?
[21:40] <@salti> We are now born again of the spirit of God and now we fight battles daily with things that could hinder our walk with the Lord..
[21:40] <@salti> Unless we put on our armor daily, we will not be prepared for our battles.
[21:41] * @Bride @nasb@ Ephessians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

[21:41] <@salti> It is not brother, mother, sister, boss, husband or wife.
[21:41] <@salti> But it is the spiritual behind what they say to us or what they do to us.
[21:41] <@salti> We have a continuous spiritual battle.
[21:41] <@salti> In the flesh we do not fight spiritual things, only when we try to walk in the spirit does this battle begin.
[21:41] * @Bride [NASB] Ephessians 6:13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
[21:41] <@salti> This tells us that with the armor of God we can with stand the attacks of the enemy and stand and fight and spread the gospel and help our brothers and sisters stand as well.
[21:42] <@salti> We will also be able to uplift one another as we see them in their own battles.
[21:42] <@salti> God tells us in His word what we are to do, not to hurt us but to prepare us and teach us how we are to be Christians.
[21:42] <@salti> Let's take His wisdom here and place this armor on each day.
[21:42] * @Bride ^nasb^: Ephessians 6:14 Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
[21:42] <@salti> Loins: The abdominal region
[21:42] <@salti> Girt: To fasten by a certain measure
[21:42] <@salti> This is the start of the armor.
[21:42] <@salti> We need to be feed daily so that His truth is in us.
[21:42] <@salti> The word of God is truth and our greatest weapon
[21:42] <@salti> We can spot and discern the lies of the enemy.
[21:42] <@salti> If we do not know truth the rest of the armor will do us no good and we will be deceived.
[21:43] * @Bride †NASB†: Ephessians 5:18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,
[21:43] <@salti> Notice here be filled with the spirit.
[21:43] <@salti> God is Spirit, and Gods word spiritually fills us.
[21:43] <@salti> This is not a one time filling but must be continuous as we are feed daily the word of God.
[21:44] * @Bride *NASB*: Ephessians 6:14 Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
[21:44] <@salti> The breast plate is symbolic to cover our hearts.
[21:44] <@salti> To protect our hearts from lust and to keep our hearts cleansed and covered with the blood of Jesus.
[21:44] <@salti> Our righteousness comes from the Lord being able to see our hearts that are forgiven by Jesus. For it is because of His righteousness (Him being without sin) and covering our sins that we are found righteous in the eyes of God and the spiritual world.
[21:45] * @Bride <Nasb> Ephessians 6:15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
[21:45] <@salti> Shod: Shoes, foot cover.
[21:45] <@salti> This shows us that we daily walk in the world and we are to walk in the gospel of peace
[21:45] <@salti> By doing this we are fulfilling the two commandments that Jesus gave us
[21:45] * @Bride %nasb%: Mark 12:30 and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.'
[21:45] * @Bride %nasb%: Mark 12:31 "The second is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
[21:45] <@salti> By obeying these two commandments we fulfill everything the Lord desires us to be in the world and we can tell others what Jesus told the 12 when he sent them out.
[21:45] <@salti> The gospel of Christ by mouth and by deed.
[21:46] * @Bride !Nasb! Ephessians 6:16 in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
[21:46] <@salti> The shield is symbolic of our protection from God
[21:46] <@salti> Trusting the Lord with all of our hearts, knowing that he prepares our path as we go and will show us all the things that are against us, we will always be ready for the lies, for the temptations for any snare that satan has planted before us.
[21:46] <@salti> Our faith comes from trusting and believing with all of our hearts that God is with us, and will never leave us and will direct us through out our day.
[21:46] <@salti> From moment to moment from second to second.
[21:46] * @Bride †NASB† Ezra 6:17 They offered for the dedication of this temple of God 100 bulls, 200 rams, 400 lambs, and as a sin offering for all Israel 12 male goats, corresponding to the number of the tribes of Israel.
[21:47] * @Bride <nasb> Ephessians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
[21:47] <@salti> When we are born again our minds our to become the minds of Christ. We know have the power to discern our thoughts and resist evil.
[21:47] <@salti> We are also to fill our minds with Gods word so that we do have the mind of Christ. Always dwelling on the things of God. And renewing our minds through out our day.
[21:47] <@salti> It is taught to us again here that the spirit of God we are to be filled with is the word of God.
[21:47] <@salti> Truth always over comes lies.
[21:47] <@salti> Light always overcomes darkness
[21:47] * @Bride !NASB!: Ephessians 6:18 With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,
[21:48] <@salti> Prayer is a fancy word for just simply talking with our Father in heaven.
[21:48] <@salti> This is how we ask Him to help us during the day to prepare our path during the day, asking Him which way I turn, which way I walk.
[21:48] <@salti> Getting His guidance in all that we do.
[21:48] <@salti> Supplication is when we talk to God in humbleness and sincerity continuously as we go about our day.
[21:48] <@salti> When we do this the Lord will be talking to us and showing us what we need to do as we go through out our day.
[21:48] <@salti> When we start doing this we are always walking in the spirit.
[21:48] <@salti> And will hear His voice and also start to walk without sin.
[21:49] <@salti> Because we will hear the conviction of the holy spirit faster and louder. And we can repent if need be through out the day, instead of waiting until we get in the bed each night.
[21:49] <@salti> By putting this spiritual armor of God each morning, we will be prepared to go out into the world and fight the spiritual battle we all have each day.
[21:49] <@salti> We will get that close relationship with our Father that He desires us to have with Him.
[21:49] <@salti> If we keep our minds on Christ, the things of this world cannot harm our walk with Him.
[21:49] <@salti> We must continually offer up praises to our Lord as our battle cry in all trials for He is faithful
[21:49] <@salti> Reflect for a moment on your own spiritual life
[21:50] <@salti> where is your armor on strong? what pieces do you need to apply more?
[21:50] <@salti> open Your heart to God's voice and His guidance in Your spiritual battles..
[21:51] <@salti> ask Him to prepare you daily through study of His Word and through prayer and everyday life events.
